Shipibo retreat with sacred plants medicine 7days
“Sanken Nete” center was built and run by Shipibo Native people. It is situated deep in the Peruvian Amazon in the district of Pucallpa.
The Shipibo tribe are famous for their incredibly rich culture. They are masters of Ayahuasca plant medicine, and are worldwide known for their other worldly Icaros/Sacred songs, visionary art and weaving. Shipibo Ayahuasqero Shamans have a very fine and intricate singing style, which is the main healing tool that they use along with the medicine itself. These powerful Icaros and sacred chanting is an experience which is mysterious, transforming, healing, and beautiful.
The Shipibo’s are considered one of the most knowledgeable tribal people for the ceremonial and healing use of sacred plant medicine – ancient Shamanic healing. It is believed that they are the precursors of the use of Ayahuasca with vast knowledge from their ancient culture.
Shipibo style of working with the medicine and especially their singing is known as one of the deepest and most ancestral sacred medicine singing.
Sanken Wesna will lead the organizational part. She worka with ayahuasca and other sacred plants intensively for a few years. During that time she has opportunity to work with different shamans and she believes that Shipibos way of working, especially their singing is one of the most profound experiences I’ve ever had. Their singing – Icaroos are the main healing tool in addition to the medicine itself and represent memorable experience. They’re mysterious, healing, beautiful and bring personal transformation.
You’ll have opportunity to drink medicine with two shamans: Maestra ELIZA FERNANDEZ VARGAS (Reshin WESNA) and Maestro DARWIN RUIZ MARIN (Chonnon Soi). Their medicine is pure unconditional love and singing of Reshin Wesna is the most beautiful I’ve had honor to hear. Their energy wonderfully complement and together they lead incredibly enlightening, profound and loving ceremonies which are powerful but at the same time full of softness.
The centre has its »maloca«, where they perform ceremonies, kitchen, dry toilets, rooms and small houses for 18 people. Near the centre is lake which is surrounded by beautiful nature and magic Amazon atmosphere. This is the ideal place for retreat and for dieting because it’s quiet, protected and remote from the village. You’ll have time to relax in the jungle, for deep healing and connection with mother Amazon.
MAESTRA RESHIN WESNA & MAESTRO DARWIN
Reshin Wesna owns this healing center called Sanke Nete center, in a beautiful place, in the surrounding area of San Francisco village, on the borders Yarinacocha Lake, in Pucallpa district, the heart of Shipibo culture and medicine. Reshin performs honest, deeply profound ancestral healing work with the medicine. She has been working with the medicine for more than 30 years, her medicine is pure unconditional love, and her singing style is the finest indigenous singing. She works with Maestro Darwin who is also another amazing Shipibo Ayahuasquero Shaman. Both Shamans energies complement one another beautifully, and together they hold the most incredible, enlightening, deep, loving, strong and at the same time soft and gentle circles, and their medicine is a 5 star brew (wild Yellow Aya+ wild Chacruna).
Paticipants who come will experience authentic Shipibo tribal lineage.
“SANKEN NETE” AYAHUASCA CENTER IN SHIPIBO COMMUNITY
Yarinacocha is an area which is less touristic, due to its more difficult to access and because it is not so advertised, what makes it therefore a much more authentic experience to have. The centre has a lovely ’ Maloca’ for the ceremonies, kitchen, dry compost toilets, rooms and little huts shared and private which can accommodate up to 18 people. The centre has a lake, surrounded by beautiful nature and magical Amazonian atmosphere. This is an ideal place for a retreat and doing diets, as it is not too close to the village and is very peaceful, and protected. You will also have the time to relax in the jungle in order to go deeper with your own healing and connect with nature and Mama Amazon.
By taking part on this retreat you will be ensuring that your money stays with the natives and goes directly to them.

Couple of rules
Everyone has the right to feel safe and secure on their trip. We don’t tolerate any form of violence (verbal or physical) or sexual harassment.
Illegal drugs will not be tolerated on our trips. The exploitation of prostitutes is completely contrary to this philosophy. Our group leader has the right to expel any member of the group if drugs are found in their possession or if they use prostitutes.
We like to call them “Leaders” and not “Guides” because they are essentially your well traveled, experienced friends! While not being guides in the traditional sense you can expect them to have a broad general knowledge of the places visited on the trip, including historical, cultural, religious and social aspects. Our Leaders main goals are to ensure everyone on the trip is having the best time possible. Your leader will provide information on the places you are travelling through, offer suggestions for things to do and see, recommend great local eating venues and introduce you to our local friends. They know the trip locations well, and have great relationships with all our contacts in each destination. Not to mention they are all extremely fun and easy going people who continue to showcase the essence of what makes us Eco Explorer!
Your leader will accompany you on all included activities, however during your trip you’ll have some free time to pursue your own interests, relax and take it easy or explore at your leisure. Please use your own good judgement when selecting an activity in your free time. Please also note that your Leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the trip itinerary if it’s deemed necessary due to safety concerns. While travelling there is always the risk of pick-pocketing and petty theft, particularly in the more touristy cities. We recommend that you exercise caution when walking alone at night and encourage you to walk together and only on main, well-lit thoroughfares. Be particularly vigilant on public transport. Simple measures like carrying your day pack on your front, not hanging your bag over the back of your chair or on the floor and wearing a money belt will reduce any chance that your valuables should go missing.
Our holidays are renowned for being friendly, fun experiences, and our small groups frequently include a significant number of single travellers. You’ll feel very welcome amongst people who share a passion for seeing the world on foot and the outdoor life.
Minimum group sizes
As with all group tour operators, we require a minimum number of participants to operate each holiday. Should this number not be reached, the holiday will not be commercially viable and we reserve the right to cancel it. This will be done reluctantly and an offer of a suitable alternative holiday will be provided wherever possible.
